Kurt and Shauna Kuhl: their desire is to serve you. Their journey to becoming innkeepers may be a little different from most. They would not be considered traditional bed and breakfast type travelers. What has always stood out for them on their travels are the "little things" that unique lodging provided. Attention to detail, being surprised by extra touches they had not expected, that was what they were drawn to. This always gave them the feeling of being cared for.
While they have very different professional backgrounds, Shauna being a restaurant owner and Kurt being an electrical contractor, there are things that drew them to becoming innkeepers, working together for a whole new purpose. First and foremost, they dreamed of work that they could share together and have more meaning. They have both always had a love for historic homes and the idea of owning such a property, caring for and preserving it, while at the same time being able to share it with others drew them to the idea of innkeeping.
When the chance to purchase what was known as the Strauch-Fuller home in a historic area of downtown Mesa materialized, they felt drawn to pursue it. After much prayer, Kurt and Shauna feel they have been blessed by God with this opportunity to share this amazing home and historic area of downtown Mesa with travelers from around the world and provide them with all the "little things" that create a memorable stay.
As your onsite hosts, Kurt and Shauna are here to meet your every need, so please do not hesitate to reach out at any time. Their two adorable pups, Roxy and Titus can also be found wandering the grounds and are more than happy to accept a pat on the head or a scratch of the chin if you are missing your own fur babies. Kurt and Shauna are very thankful for the opportunity to serve you and your consideration of visiting the W2ND Historic Inn. May the Lord Bless You.
